Inspired by the traditional Japanese geta sandals and the curves of a crocodile's mouth, the design evokes the image of a crocodile, standing quietly yet with a hidden wild strength, creating a minimalist design that exudes tension and energy. The arched wedge sole is a structural feature that embodies the boundary between stillness and movement.
The original wooden last and wedge sole are custom-made after numerous prototypes. The sole is entirely hand-molded by artisans, achieving a texture reminiscent of artisanal work. The curved heel concentrates the center of gravity inward, enhancing stability, and combined with the design that covers the instep deeply, these shoes are easier to wear than they look.
